Oh yes she has and she’s got demands! Just cute little demands though.
First, Garlic Mushroom.
For the Garlic Mushroom, we decided to turn it to something that we ouwld actually finish. I personally don’t like the excessively oily garlic mushroom that restaurants serve, so I worked on that. Plus, I worked on the flavor. I developed a hot and sour flavor, I think it tastes really good.
So here are the ingredients I used. We did not have a stock of whole button mushrooms in our pantry, so I settled for the sliced variety.
To have a good dish, only use good ingredients!
I have always loved adding thyme to my garlic mushroom, the earthy flavor it adds just somehow compliments the garlic and the lemon. :)
Here, I had two plating -for my sister and for my brother.
Second, something new, IBA SALSA.
Well, she didn’t really demand for a salsa. She just wanted to eat Iba, more commonly known as Kamias in Filipino, until our dad came in and said he’d show us how he used to make Iba his dip whenever he had pan fried fish. I thought it was so cool how he unknowingly made salsa for us, and it tasted so good! It was filled with intense flavors.
This tastes a lot better than it looks. The character of this salsa is different from any other salsas I made. This was more intense because the acids were really strong, from the iba to the vinegar. The vinegar I used, we got it last month from the “bukid”, so you can only imagine the flavor that it has, plus it was infused with chile. My my, it was like mayhem in my mouth!
I wonder what she’ll be requesting in the next four more days of her vacation.
