Bleeding Love for Food, Travel and Reunion

Food, Travel and Reunion.

No. This is not big time food and travel experience. Just simple dining before my trip back home for the Holy Week Break.
It was the last weekend of March and everyone’s going home for the Holy Week. I went to Ayala to get a ticket and it went quicker than I thought it would be, there were no queues,no cancellations or such.
Lucky me, I still have two hours to spare and since I was already hungry and can no longer wait til I get home to devour mom’s home-cooked meals, I decided to enjoy a light and refreshing meal before I travel back home.
So then I went to Coffee Bean and Tea Leaf.
I had this on my table for 15 minutes, quite long but worth the wait. The salad was well done.

If I had to choose among coffee shop’s salad offerings, CBTL would be my favorite.

                                   Spicy Chicken and Pasta Salad
This time, I wouldn’t critique their plating, it being too crowded, because the flavor in this salad was just right. It had the right amount of acidity, the penne was al dente, the right quantity of vinaigrette was drizzled, it had enough salt and pepper plus the addition of red pepper flakes made it my favorite.

I tried their new blended drink, Pineapple and Vanilla. I wasn’t disappointed, it was very refreshing. This one doesn’t look appealing because I especially requested for no whip and no additional syrup. Sipping it was reminiscent of that afternoon spent at Boracay’s beautiful shore sipping Pina Colada.
Five hours later…
Just arrived at home! Construction of a new floor is currently in progress. The thought of stargazing on our upcoming entertainment floor is too exciting!
Anyway, I went out with my family to attend mass and then we went to a Sunday Market.

This is their launching weekend and my good friend participated in the project by putting up a booth. Their booth had good finds, I bought 6 accessories at really cheap prices plus a romper- which was not cheap at all! Haha! Ahh, the price you pay for things designed and made by your designer friend. :) I’m talking about my “kaibigan” Paco Serafica by the way. It has been so long since we last saw each other, so a lot of catching up went on that night.
That day, was filled with light and life.
More light,life and happy encounters!
